Customer Review: No Shoes!
I was excited to receive the package with my new shoes, only to be disappointed when I discovered that they sent me BLACK shoes instead of the Chestnut color I ordered. I phoned the company and a sales rep apologized and made arrangements for me to ship the incorrect shoes back at no charge and she said the correct color would be sent right out. I returned the incorrect shoes and then waited for the new Chestnut color shoes to arrive. But, no shoes. Finally, after repeated email inquiriea, I received a blunt response saying essentially, “We TOLD you we don’t have the Chestnut colored shoes”. I will not order from this company again as it appears they don’t have good internal communication.

Materials are first class, has an attractive design and ankle support is pretty good. I chose the “oily brown” model and it looks very well, almost like the picture. For being a boot, it is truly comfortable and feels almost like a shoe. If you’re planning it for heavy duty activities, then you should reconsider this option(i find the outer get scratched somewhat easily). Overall a good product, i would highly recommend it for casual/urban wear purposes.

Every pair of shoes from Clarks that I have purchased have fit well and have required no break in period. These look good as well. My only complaint is the squeaking soles when I walk on tile flooring but that’s a problem with many rubber soled shoes.

I was really excited to get these and try something different. The length fit fine, but was way too tight across and right behind the ball of my foot. I’ve got them on boot stretchers to try and widen them out. I’d seriously reconsider buying another pair.

The Good:
- Versatile look
- Fairly comfortable
- Great for those of us who travel frequently (airport security)

The Bad:
- had to add heel pads to minimize slippage
- the shoes seem prone to squeaking

I got these for less than $30 so I’d say they are a definite buy at such a low price. At a $70 to $80 price point, I’d probably drop my rating to three stars as there is nothing special about the shoes.

I’ve had these shoes for a month. They are breaking in very well. The only problem I’ve noticed so is the loud squeaking when walking across non-carpeted areas. This happens when the sole of the shoe is wet or dry. However, it’s still a very nice shoe for the price.
